• Spotted….

Check out our stylish Brand Manager Sibylle who was spotted at Somerset House during London Fashion Week wearing Georgia Hardinge’s amazing Braque Dress which is brand new to our online shop. We love how Sibylle has given the dress a relaxed feel by teaming it with ankle boots and oversized bag. The rust colours in the dress work perfectly with her hair.

Watch this space for our fashion week round up…

  • Who needs Valentine’s Day…

    … to send beautiful cards?

With Valentine’s Day just gone, we all know how hard picking out the perfect card for an occassion can be!
Luckily our Notting Hill boutique has some lovely OHH DEER cards that are so awesome that you don’t need it to be Valentine’s Day to give them.

Got a secret love that you want to do something about? Nothing says ‘Hi, I kind of like you.’ quite like a winking bear!

Or if you prefer the school boy method of teasing (we still want to think that he only used to pinch us because he secretly really liked us), then go fo the cheeky ‘I don’t like your face.’ card!

Of course these cards can be used for any occasion – you could do what our brand manager did and get the Happy Panda card just to make someone (or yourself) smile!

    xx Wolf & Badger

  • Music Monday: Whitney

After the tragic news of Whitney Houston’s death this Saturday it would seem wrong to devote this Music Monday to anyone else. We’ve decided to forget the shaky vocals and loss of words in her more recent performances and remember her at her best!

Here is one of our favourites….

    Enjoy! Xx

    # 1 – Listen

    What: The Black Keys
    Where: Alexandra Palace
    When: 09 February – 11 February 2012
Why: Following the release of their hugely popular album ‘El Camino’, Ohio born duo The Black Keys are playing three shows in London this weekend at Alexandra Palace. Their distinctive mix of rock, soul and blues with a hint of hip hop thrown in is the perfect music to help you wind down from a long week at work, while also putting you in the mood for the weekend ahead!

We still love ‘Tighten Up’ from their 2010 album ‘Brothers’

    # 2 – Look

    What: Yayoi Kusama
    Where: Tate Modern
    When: 9 February – 5 June 2012
Why: As famous for her spots as Damian Hirst (although years ahead) is influential and avant garde Japanese artist Yoyoi Kusama. This exhibition at the Tate Modern covers a whole range of her work from the 1950’s up until present day. Famous for reinventing her style over the years, her work covers a range of media from paintings and sculptures, all the way through to huge walk in installations – of which there will be one in the turbine hall. Her work is colourful and unique (as is her fashion sense!), and this exhibition is the largest that has been in the UK, making it a real must see!

  • Terrible Twos Party

February did not only bring a wave of fantastic new designers to our boutique in Notting Hill, it also brought along Wolf & Badger’s second anniversary!

What better way to celebrate our Terrible Twos and welcome the new designers than throwing a party with loads of sweets! We certainly were excited by flying saucers, sour cola bottles, powder shrimps and more, but at the end of the day it was the amazing new talent that ensured a full boutique despite low temperatures.

We are happy to welcome …

    1 Silence Beyond Syllables / 2 Mutewatch / 3 Una Burke / 4 RockOptika / 5 Flik Hall / 6 Susana Bettencourt / 7 SMITH/GREY / 8 Makiko Nakamura / 9 Open Your Eyes / 10 Gemma Land / 11 Ashtiani / 12 Alice Made This / 13 Tina Zafari / 14 M-A-R-K-I-N / 15 Gallery 4 / 16 Peridot London / 17 Amy Hall

A big THANK YOU to all the designers, press, bloggers, customers and Wolf & Badger fans that wrapped up and braved the cold to join the party, drinking Rum cocktails served by the ever so amazing The Lonsdale team while listening to DJ Erol Sabadosh’s fine selection! It was great to catch up with everyone and meeting most of the people behind those fantastic new brands!

Check all pictures from the party here on Facebook!

If you missed the party don’t fret, our Notting Hill boutique team will be happy to show you what’s new! If you’d like to have a second chance to meet the designers, don’t miss the new trunk shows coming up on Saturdays during spring.

We will announce all trunk shows on our Facebook and here on the blog!

  • Music Monday: Lana Del Rey

Like millions of others, ever since we heard Video Games for the first time, we have been big Lana Del Rey fans here in the Wolf & Badger office. And, like lot’s of others we have been awaiting the release of her album, well….it’s finally here!

Born to Die is the debut album from the singer and comes amid a media backlash about her make over from Lizzie Grant to Lana Del Rey, including her alleged plastic surgery and also her privileged upbringing which has given her a supposed helping hand in the music industry. The album perhaps doesn’t live up to the two singles that she has released, but we hope that she can prove her critics wrong with her haunting melodies and captivating voice.

Here is one of our favourites, Born to Die.

    Enjoy. Xx

This includes philosophical debates, workshops and interactive exhibitions. Events that are taking place over the weekend include a debate led by Jon Snow on Assisted Suicide, Paul Gambaccini playing the nation’s favorite funeral songs and an exhibition of the most weird and wonderful bespoke coffins from around the world.
